21 Ways to Invite Positivity In

“Be the energy you want to attract.”

What it means to invite positivity in is to find ways to let your day be as light and joyful as possible. It is a way to realign and stay in tune with yourself. Not every day is going to look the same because you may want different things on different days. Assess with yourself how you want to spend your day and how you want to feel.



1. Make a gratitude list

  • try jotting down 5 things you're grateful for.

  • take time to appreciate the little things that make you smile


2. Say positive affirmations

  • “I am a source of powerful energy”

  • ”I am not held back by fear”

  • “Happiness is my birthright”



3. Exercise

  • move your body for 5-10 mins a day and work your way up

  • you can dance, run, skate, bike— just get active!

4. Practice mindfulness

  • take mindful walks

  • throughout daily activities bring yourself back to the present moment



5. Aromatherapy

  • Use essential oils

  • burn aromatic candles to boost relaxation



6. Breath work

  • close your eyes - take a deep breath in and out - take 5 breaths counting up to 5 - take 5 breaths counting back down to 1 - repeat as many times as you like

  • Focus your mind on inhaling and exhaling through your diaphragm

8. Spend time in nature

  • explore the world around you

  • it can be very peaceful and comforting connecting to nature




9. Talk to friends/family

  • reach out to the people you love that love you

  • let your support system do their supporting


10. Enjoy your favorite hobby

  • express your creative side or do whatever you’re into

  • learn new skills and grow in your hobby




11. Yoga

  • try a 5 min yoga session every morning

  • focus on your breathing with each position


12. De-clutter your space

  • helps relieve pressure off you

  • de-clutters your mind to think more clearly.



13. Laugh more

  • don't take yourself or life too seriously

  • when is the last time you laughed so hard it hurt?


14. Compliment someone

  • or you can compliment yourself

  • or do both




15. Get a plant

  • treat your new plant baby with care

  • if you don’t have a green thumb yet, try a fake one first

16. Take steps towards your goals

  • break down your goal and think of one thing you can do today— complete it by the end of the day.

  • Envision your success





17. Cleanse and recharge

  • cleanse, recharge yourself and your space with crystals and/or herbs.

  • eat as healthy as you can.

  • wash your body and face.

  • get enough sleep.

  • keep items/sayings handy that make you feel protected.

  • listen to your intuition



19. Make a piggy bank and start saving

  • Invest in yourself

  • put away $10-$20 every paycheck if you can


20. Redecorate

  • look into Feng Shui

  • allow your natural energy to intentionally consume your space





21. Take the day off

  • call out and put your phone on dnd

  • Relax in bed all day


Steering clear of negativity


Protect your peace.

Distance yourself from negativity.

You have to trust in your intuition. When you get that uneasy feeling because you know something just isn't right.

Question why— don't just forget about it or hope it will go away.

Not everyone is going to have your best interest at heart. Some people are going to want to steal your joy. You have to be protective of yourself.

Stop letting people dictate who you should be. Live your life according to how you want to. It's not your job to live up to other's expectations

Let go of what doesn't align with you and your goals. Letting go can be hard, but toxic situations and people can bring you down. They can hold you back from exploring every part of your path. They can hold you back from living your life.

You have to do what is best for your mental health. Set Boundaries.

Even with positivity, you can't completely ignore negativity because life is on hardcore survival mode. There might always be something and you might feel like you can't catch a break. How you handle these rocky times will tell you whether or not life has you backed into a corner, robbing you at knifepoint.

Don't let life rob you at knifepoint. Tell life you got a gun and you ain't afraid to use it. Don't let life break you. You're powerful even at your weakest moments.



Summary


You don't have to muscle your way through life. It's beneficial to be emotionally aware of your feelings.


Express how you feel and release pent-up emotion. Find your own ways to do so. No one operates the same, many just force themselves to uphold made-up social codes.

What should matter to you is doing what works for you so you are healthy. Don't neglect your health to appear "normal".

Inviting positivity into your life is going to boost every part of it. You'll find more peace and joy every day that your mind won't have the time or energy for negativity. Be protective of your time and energy.

Be your own advocate.

Take little moments in your day to realign with yourself.

Find new ways to keep in tune with yourself or remember old habits that brought you peace of mind. When you feel good that good energy radiates. All of this positive energy is going into the world. That energy will find its way back to you. :)

It's important to remember that your mind is powerful. What you think can become a reality. When you put action and intention behind those thoughts, the sooner they can become your reality.
